PROBLEM STATEMENT

Being first to market has been key to DuluxGroup’s success, however brand recognition as an employer of choice gets unnoticed.

As part of a re-platform of the DuluxGroup website, the brand also needed a visual refresh to attract future young talent.

Project Goals

Icon-1-1

Demonstrate 'What is DuluxGroup'

Icon-2-1

Showcase as a portal to brands for consumers and customers

Icon-3-1

Communicate EVP for potential employees and what sets them apart from other employers

Icon-4-1

Migrate to industry standard CMS where updating content is easily managed

Icon-5b-1

Dynamically feed in social media content from tier 1 brands on the homepage carousel

APPROACH

My role was to oversee UX, UI and be the primary advoate for the user. We created a design language that complemented all print and marketing collateral, creating structure and balance to simplify the user experience.

Through 4 Agile sprints, we worked with over 12 stakeholders to deliver an impactful design that met the needs of our consumers, customers, community and potential employees.

Graduates

I worked alongside with new graduates employed within the company to create a compelling careers page. Concepts were created in Figma to help aid the conversation and also provide usability insights.

Learnings

1 option is better than many

When you're communicating your process and solutions to a stakeholder who isn't always the key decision maker, it's important to keep your points clear and concise enough for easy re-communication. Even though the client may appreciate the extra displayed effort, it can muddy the waters when feedback comes back out.
